Dermapen 4 Microneedling

Microneedling is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that effectively targets signs of ageing and a wide range of skin concerns. This technique has been a favourite among people looking at holistic options to improve the appearance of their skin.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that can help treat melasma, minor scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, and skin texture. It offers several benefits, such as increasing collagen production, reducing pigmentation, enhancing the absorption of topical treatments, and providing long-lasting results.

The procedure involves creating micro-injuries on the skin using tiny needles, which stimulate the production of collagen. This helps to thicken the dermis and improve the overall appearance of the skin. Additionally, the micro-injuries encourage the release of growth factors, which reduce pigment production and improve the skin’s even tone.

Moreover, the microchannels created by microneedling allow for better absorption of topical products, making them more effective in treating melasma. Unlike other treatments that require multiple sessions, microneedling provides long-lasting results, which means less frequent maintenance treatments.

The main benefit of microneedling a.k.a Collagen induction therapy (CIT) is that it improves skin texture by stimulating natural collagen production, which is great for rejuvenating the skin. This cosmetic procedure involves creating micropunctures in the skin to trigger the wound healing process and thus promote collagen production. We work with the Dermapen 4 device and use Dermaceuticals products and application protocols proven to deliver results.

This has been used to:

  • strengthen collagen bonds in your skin, which gives a lift and improves skin texture at the connective tissue bordering the dermal layer.
  • soften fine lines
  • fade acne scars
  • shrink pores
  • brighten skin
  • reduce the appearance of stretch marks

Sold as a package of 3-6 treatments. Based on the severity of the condition treatments can be performed at 2 – 4 weeks apart.

For hydration and rejuvenation, we advise a treatment gap 2-3 weeks.

If treating more severe deeper lines or scarring – a gap of 4 weeks between treatments may be recommended.

When you book your Dermapen treatment package, you will receive a PRE POST PROTOCOL STARTER KIT worth £110. The starter kit contains essential active ingredients such as Vitamins A, B, C, E, peptides, antioxidants, and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) that will help strengthen your skin before the procedure and enhance your results when used for aftercare. We call them the true non-negotiables.

We strongly advise you to discontinue retinol-based products or serums at least three days before the microneedling procedure.

If possible, please arrive without make up. Make up removal / rubbing of the skin will over-sensitise the skin and make the treatment more uncomfortable.

We will review your paperwork and medical history to ensure the treatment is possible on the day.

DermapenWorld doesn’t advise the use of topical local anaesthetic (TLA), but if you feel you will be more comfortable having it, we can apply TLA. During the treatment, we will apply HA and vitamin-packed serum working one area at a time. The sensation is more like a repetitive scratching, but it doesn’t last for long and is bearable. The actual needling part will take no more than 10 minutes. A soothing sheet mask will be applied to reduce the erythema.

Upgrades to a treatment are available.
